New Zealand’s iconic off road Marathon,
50km High Country Mountain Bike,
49km Adventure Run event,
or 15km Mountain Run.
The Motatapu is one of New Zealand’s premier sporting events. Now in it’s 6th successful year the upcoming event sees the addition of two NEW running events to the already popular Off-Road Marathon and 50km High Country Mountain Bike events.

MOTATAPU MINER’S TRAIL 15KM OFF-ROAD MOUNTAIN RUN/WALK - NEW FOR 2010!
Over a spectacular loop from Arrowtown, ascending the historic Tobin’s Track up onto the Crown Terrace before entering the magnificent (and private) Glencoe Station. R&R SPORT 49KM 2-PERSON TEAM ADVENTURE RUN - NEW FOR 2010!
Not for the faint hearted!
This course is over exposed and physically challenging backcountry terrain, negotiating rough tussock-covered areas, long steep sidles and river crossings. This is a serious mountain run for serious athletes. Entries for the 2010 event are closed. For further event details click here.

Putting on events such as the Motatapu would be impossible without the help and support of volunteers. We need 150 volunteers, so if you are keen to get involved we would love to hear from you. FINAL DATE FOR MOTATAPU ENTRY CHANGES
Sunday 21 February at 5pm will be the final day for any changes to any entry into the Motatapu. This includes category changes, transfers to another person or any other changes. If you require any changes or transfers, please email info@iconicadventures.co.nz with any changes by Sunday 21 February, 5pm.
