FINISHING THE RACE

As a finishing Adventure Run team you will be steered LEFT into the runner's chute and onto Butler's Green. You will then run across the timing mats at the finish line and into the marquee. Be sure to cross the finish line “as one” (or you will be disqualified from the race) with your race number visible - smile as your photo and time are being taken!

Transponders & PLBs

Once you enter the finisher’s marquee, a competitor only area, there will volunteers available to assist you in taking off your transponder& personal locator beacon. All transponders & PLB's must be returned at the finish line or you will be marked as DNF (Did Not Finish).

Lost or Broken Devices

If you lose or break your transponder be sure to tell the Motatapu Timing Official as soon as you finish to ensure that you have an accurate time and are not marked as DNF. If your transponder falls off, and you manage to retrieve it, have it out as you cross the finish line to ensure that your time is recorded. Any lost transponders may be subject to a $50 replacement charge. Lost or unreturned PLBs will incur a $800 fee for the unit and a $150 fee for the battery.
