Motatapu Entry Update

Spring has sprung! We've seen lots of you out on the trails running and biking; it's great to see you out there. MTB entries are coming in thick and fast (over 65% subscribed), so we highly recommend getting your entry in NOW, if you haven't already, to avoid disappointment; this event will sell out. There are only 16 MTB ELITE spaces remaining and Wave 4 in the Sport field is being allocated.

There's also a triathlon on offer, which has qualifying spots for the XTERRA World Champs in Hawaii. You can enter the triathlon as an individual or team.

Bookings are open for transport options to get you to and from the Motatapu. Early booking is highly recommended, as seats are limited and usually sell out. Transport options will be available to purchase until 31 January 2012, unless sold out prior.

R&R Sport Queenstown weekly rides - all welcome

The R&R Sport Queenstown crew are getting excited (along with ourselves!) about the summer of riding ahead. To help get you motivated, fit and have some fun along the way R&R Sport have organised weekly rides to suit everyone from beginners to advanced, ladies only rides, trail rides & road rides. FREE Bike Seminar

Can't tell your derailleur, from your SPDs, crankset, and cadence? Help is at hand!

BIKE101 is the second in a series of six FREE seminars organised by The Body Mechanics Physiotherapy Clinic, Queenstown. The seminars are primarily geared towards triathlon and multisport, but the next seminar is relevant to just about anyone who likes to bike!

The seminar will run through how to set up your bike to stay injury free, cycling technique, tips to improve your performance and an optional Bike Maintenance Workshop, covering how to keep your machine in tip top shape.

Anton Cooper - World MTB Champs Silver Medalist

At only 17 year old Anton is the current Motatapu Mountain Bike Champion and record holder. Anton recently went to Europe as a relatively unknown rider and has returned as the World Junior Number 1, with 2 World Cup victories and a second placing in the World Champs.
