Personal Profiles
Tom Pryde - Director
Tom is the senior partner in one of Southland's largest law firms, Cruickshank Pryde.
Tom has served on numerous boards and trusts and was President of Triathlon New Zealand. He successfully orchestrated the bid for, and helped organise the World Triathlon Championships held in Queenstown in December 2003 and the ITU Triathlon World Cup in New Plymouth in 2005. The Queenstown event won a NZ Tourism Award.
Tom is also a Trustee of the Halberg Trust which organises the Sports Awards. A former senior rugby player, Tom has been at the forefront of Triathlon, Multisport and Adventure Racing in New Zealand, both as a competitor and as a race organiser.
Geoff Matthews – Director
For ten years Geoff was Personal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Right Honourable James Bolger. He then worked in both the advertising and public relations industries before starting his own consultancy, BrandCom Ltd, now one of Southland and Otago's largest marketing consultancy’s and a 2005 Deloitte/Unlimited Fast 50 Company.
Geoff has successfully organised a number of sporting events and clinics in New Zealand and Australia and represented New Zealand in Triathlon, Ironman Triathlon and Adventure Racing .
Geoff has also raced mountain bikes and road bikes competitively in New Zealand and internationally, and was in the winning team at the Southern Traverse, 1994.
Geoff was awarded the New Zealand 1990 Commemoration Medal for Services to New Zealand and a Diploma from the International Olympic Committee for Outstanding Services to Sport as a Volunteer.
Tracey Neil – Managing Director
Former business analyst and IT project manager for the National Bank of New Zealand, Tracey has also lectured at masters level at Victoria University of Wellington in IT Project Management. She is now the Director of Research, Projects and Management for BrandCom and has a keen eye for detail.
